I have a unique situation. I have a ps2 (6 series I think) and about 2-3 years ago I put a no solder mod chip inside but i never got to use it because The games I wanted to burn were dvd and I did not have a dvd burner. now I do. but my game shark 2 cd was broken. so my question is, should i buy another game shark cd, or buy a magic swap set? If I buy a magic swap set will it work with my modded machine? If it does work will I have to use the slide tool or will my mod chip take care of the swapping? does it matter what mod chip I have in my Machine because I don't remember what I put in. I have been looking online trying to remember and it looks like the r-mod but I think it had a different name.
any help would be great.

seeing that you put in the chip a few years ago and you had to use gameshark with it, your chip might not even be able to play dvd backups. I suggest getting swap magic and a fliptop or slidecard.
