PLastic DVD Protectors???

Has anybody tried the new Dvd protectors you can put on your dvd to keep them from being scratched. I saw some at Walmart and wondered if they were worth the money! Thinking about putting one on my Swap Magic 3.3 to keep it from being scratched. They look like a really thin piece of seran wrap but hard plastic you can put on the bottum of the dvd! Any info let me know! thanx
