I can't get NeroVision to import/export 16:9 video off Sony DVD403

Wide screen videos recorded on Sony DVD403 display in wide screen in windows media player no problem. For some reason NeroVision imports at standard aspect, even right off the original CD-RW. Exporting at 16:9 still doesn't bring it back to 16:9.

For days I could barely get NeroVision to work at all without a mysterious crash, or immediate "error" during export. SO,I tried clearing the import files before each session and changing the export destination to a separate drive from the OS and Nero. So far no crashes or lockups...
