Ok I want to write music to DVD-R?s, I don?t want to write movies, copy movies, or write MPEG?s. All I want to write is music, ie? MP3?s or WAV?s. I know that the DVD audio formats are WAV PCM and AC3. I want to know if I convert my MP3?s or my WAV files to ether Wav PCM or AC3 and write it to a DVD-R will it play in a DVD player. How would I write the DVD? Could I use NERO BURN?

Thanks For the Help

I believe you need to have a compatable dvd player that plays dvd-a discs. Your documents should tell you that. I've been searching for the same answer for many months with no luck. dvd's play in a 48 khz sample rate whereas mp3's are 44.1. Logic would have it if you convert the sample rate over it would work. But it would take you forever to convert that many files to fit on a dvd disc. I mean your talking about 1000 songs. It's a great concept, I hope someone figures it out.

I'm looking for the same answer. tried MusicMatch on DVD+R, and DVD players didn't like that at all, then on DVD-R and some better luck, but still no music.
It would be wonderful to play 1300 songs on one CD!!!
My CD-R burned from MusicMatch in MP3 work fine! (120+ Songs). And like a fool, I thought DVD would just be the same but better!
This remindes me of the early days of CDs!! Some day this will all be like a bad dream.

The closes I gotten was burning a wave file onto a DVD+rw and was able to play it on my computer DVD player thru Windows Media Player. It failed to play on my regular entertainment center DVD player. The size of the one wave file is 65mb, equals to 6:15 minutes. That would be roughly 72 six minute songs to one DVD+rw.

"48 khz sample rate whereas mp3's are 44.1"

MP3s can be 48khz as well, but this creates other problems. Downsampling back to 44.1 for CD audio on-the-fly always seems to cause significant quality issues.

The old school is back. All hail the new http://BitBurners.com !
