i read your guide and most of the replies in your ps2 via lan thread topic, and i was just curious about one thing.. since more advancements are occuring and people seem to know what they're doing would it be possible to just have the spare HDD kept inside the PC not connected to the ps2 at all, and somehow have hd advance o hd loader installed on there as well, playing games from that HDD via ethernet cable?

Hey listen, i'm nothing, and you're nothing, so lets just keep it like that, k?

i would say it would be probable but not practical. it is easy enough to put games on a hdd, and im not sure anyone will make such a tool. remember ps3 comes out within a year now

well it probably wouldnt be hdadvance anymore, if you ran if through the ethernet it would need a special program, which would have its own name.

also i dont know the specs of a ps2 but it would have to read to extract the file and read the ones it needs, this would be hard.

from what i understand hdadvance does, it puts all the game files on a partition ( not in .iso format). and then tricks the ps2 into thinking that the selected partition is actually the dvd-rom.

^^ i am probably wrong there, but its what i came up with myeself
