I've edited some home movies in NeroVision Express. NVE saved my project with a .nvc extension. What do I need to do with this file to be able to burn it to a DVD? Not even the Nero burning programs will open it to burn.

Thank you very much for any help.

Normally when you get to the last step of the NVE process you can burn your movie. The last step is the Burn Options window. What you did is actually "save" the NVE project. You probably wanted to burn your project instead.

Re-open your project in NVE:

Open NVE. Look at the bottom of the "What would you like to do?" menu and you will see "Open Saved Project or Disc Image". Click on that. That will open a browser and you will be able to find the saved .nvc file to open it. Once it opens you are now ready to proceed with NVE again.

Select Next. I assume you completed your project so what you need to do is get back to the Burn Options window so you need to select Next until you get there.
The options you had previously selected should still be set correctly. Verify that they are and then select Next until you get to the Burn Options window.

Once there, find the "Set the parameters for burning" menu, upper right.

Select "Burn to..."

Select your burner.

Put a blank in your burner and select the Burn button at the lower right to start the burn process.

Thanks for the response.

I don't have a "Next" button anywhere, no menus either..............?

I'm using NVE 3 if it matters.

This is what you should see when you open NVE. Select the bottom menu choice and your saved project will open:

(If you do not see an option to open your saved project, try opening the .nvc by double clicking on it. That opens NVE when I try it. Make sure you give it a few seconds to open.)

Notice the Next button, lower right:

Selecting Next will open your menu screen. Choose the options at the upper right:

Select Next again to see a preview of your project:

Selecting Next again brings up the Burn Options window. Once your burn options are selected, put your blank disc in the selected drive and press the burn button located at the lower right to start the burn:

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't get the menu bar on the bottom until I used the Restore Down button, even with hiding the task bar, no slider either. Seems like something that should be fixed. I'd have never found it without you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out.
