WHAT IS THE BEST KIND OF DISC

I was wondering what kind of disc is better for copying ps2 games DVD+r or DVD-r? and what is the best brand and is memorex a good brand for dvds? thanks

It depends on your console's version and what it likes. I believe all of them will play DVD-R's but a lot of them won't play DVD+R. From what I've read, if they'll play +R, a lot of people prefer using +R. I'd try both and see how it acts. I use DVD-R myself--just haven't tried DVD+R because I didn't wanna waste money getting DVD+Rs if they won't work... but I do have 1 DVD+R movie and it works just fine on my V7 console.

As for Memorex... it's one of the worst brands you can use on your PS2. I use Ritek G04's and they work great. You can get them for around $20 per 50 pk. online if you look around.

Like nealio sayd, dvd-r's are the best type for game backups, since almost all ps2's will work with DVD-R. as for brand, i'd say Tayo Yuden and Verbatim are the best brands.

Verbitam Datalife PLUS DVD-R are definetily your best bet in my eyes!
