Almost everytime I burn a cue/bin file set, I get an error at the lead out, and sometimes Nero will freeze, and can not be shut down, must restart. Here is the log from my last attempt.

look, i'll be forward with you...
i've never been much of a reader so i aint gonna read your log file (no hard feelins).
its been my personal experience that Nero is not exactly the best writing software, sure its great and has lotsa features, i use it for tonnes of stuff, but in case of reliability, i tink not...
it has come to my attention that VSO CopyToDVD has been the most reliable software for writing CD/DVD discs, try them, they support image files.
the latest version come complete with a range of tools, a recommended buy, but i havn't bought that yet either cause i did a system restore.
oh well, try this if it doesn't work, try seeing if you have all the drivers you need, if not go to driversguide.com, become a member and get over 100,000 drivers for hardware etc...

These are indeed crappy media, they ID as CMC Mag. I bought some from my outlet store. If you are trying to burn these at 40x you will get nothing, even burning at 24x you may get skips.

Well, I got it to burn well again, by uninstalling the IDE to enable DMA again, but now they won't reinstall, but the burning still works successfully. I get an error everytime I try to reinstall. Should I mess with it or just leave it alone. Are the drivers on the motherboard CD?

Does the update improve the burner reliablity I have some 8x tuffdisc's and it enjoys turning them into coasters
