Are blacklisted high speed ports site specific, program specific or is it something I can grant access with on my system. Ive read some of the info on here to increase download speed for torrents with highspeed ports, but 6881-6889 are black listed on the site I use.

You can grant access within your own system. You will need to open the ports on your PC and forward to your router (if you have one)

Find the program you're using and see what needs to be forwarded

http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm
Select your router and the directions on how to forwar dthe ports

Just curious on how you figured what ports needed to be open because he didn't list what program he was using?
