I was curious to know if the Nero Erase in Smart Start is the INCD or are they different? I been hearing the INCD is not that good. But what then if I uninstall INCD.. and then what could I use to erase my DVDrws? Any other programs out there? I notice it on the right click on the drive. I don't really like the way it works. I actually am use to WindowsXPs CDRW eraser, but don't have one for DVDs... Any suggestions. TIA

AFAIK with Nero Burning Rom you just record over it. IOW it doesn't have options for "quick erase" and "full erase" like for CDs. When you burn another DVD+RW it just tells you it will destroy the data on the DVD if you proceed.

If you need a security wipe then I don't have a clue.

you just choose 'recorder/erase rewritable disc' in Nero.

InCD is a separate program from Nero and uninstalling it will make no difference to the program, you will still be able to erase your disks. InCD is packet writing software and is basically used to store data it makes the formatted CD a big floppy disk so you can send your data directly to it. You are really better off without it, because it can cause conflicts with other programs.
