illegal

all bit torrents are considered illegal if you are caught using one it can be up to 5 years in prison so if you choose to use bittorrents make sure they connect to some server in china or japan

I could make a torrent that has a program I created and want to share for free. It IS legal just not for sharing of copyrighted material that the owner does not want to share.
