cant find the problem, need advice.

I converted the movie (exported using adobe premiere) into mpeg2IBP.avi file. It turns fine.

Then i created the dvd using sonic's DVDit. It turns fine also.

I transfered the DVD in Sony DVD+R using NERO in LITEON DVD burner. Burning is successful.

But after I played it in Desktop DVD player (HUG) ang in my computer-based DVD reader, at first the movie played smoothly with superb quality, after 38 minutes (the movie should be 1hour and 17 minutes) the image stopped! But the audio continues to play.

I don't know what happened. Need some advice how to fix the problem.

hello, is your version of Nero update to newest, is your firmware updated for you lite-on, if you are burning faster than 4x slow it down, you should be ok with sony media, also if you continue to use dvd+r's your drive supports booktyping i would recommend doing this.

go here and use lite-on's booktype utility

http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/English/e_downloads/e_utility.asp

here is a guide

www.liteonit.com/ODD/Zip/BookTypeManual_e.pdf

When using Nero goto start, programs, Nero, Nero toolkit, Nero cd-dvd speed, click on extra at the top, then choose bitsetting(booktype), then use arrow to change to dvd-rom.

peace

thanks mort31 & bidfatboy,
but i already solved the problem, it was'nt the media nor the Nero software.
it was the fat32 format of my hard drive, the 2GB capacity/file. I reformatted my hard disk to ntfs.
the process flows smoothly,
thanks again...
