If I ordered a 250 gig hd and a external hd enclosure (usb), would I be able to load it full of mpeg4's, mp3's, iso's and use it as a mobile entertainment stash for my psp. I also have a 1 gig sandisk ultra 2 pro duo memory stick. If so please point me and anyone else who cares in the right direction. this is my first post at afterdawn. thanx for all the info on autogk, dvdshrink, and ps2 burning.

don't worry though you can get it to work on the psp though but you need a garbage 32 meg memory stick here is why

you need to solder the wires internally to connect the usb cable to the psp in order to do this you need to solder all wires to the memory stick then insert the memory stick into your psp warning though this is just a therory that has passed from one message board to another message board

A theory for your external hdd to work :

You would need some kind of software , that would over ride the memory stick and tell it to go to the usb port, which would then save all your stuff on the hdd, i havent heard of any software like this,, but that would be a theory for it to work.

i have, cant remember what... but it connected to your memory stick port, out to a circuit board that had a USB plug on it. from there you could run your external hdd. but i know it is still under development. and i think was specialised for external hdd.
tyr google, it is your best friend... lol

hope this helps and i'll try to remember the name.

no, the usb port on a psp is not a slave port. or you can say that it is a Write only port. The memory stick is a Read/Write port. that is why you use the memory card.

Oh yea... if you want psp v2.00
go here!!!
