hello..here's the sitch' last night i was using azereus downloading one file and i was also putting some stuff onto my psp via usb, my mouse is also a usb device just some cheap one i picked up from hastings,...well my internet started running really slow like 600/Bs
and i thought maybe it was time to let my computer rest since it had been on for like two days downloading.
when i turned it off from the start menu a message came up and i really wish i could have rememberd it...it said cant recognize or locate virtual somethin'. i feel like a loser for not even reading it well. so i just hit ok on the window and let my pc close down.
well i started it back up just out of curiosity to see what happend and it was stuck in the start up screen i guess mdos well it said that there was something to do with CMOS and loading start up so i pressed DEL to enter bios and checked my cpu temp and it was 147 F so i exited bios and shut it down again.
when i went back after a day it started up but now my psp wont show up when i connect through it. and my usb mouse won't work it flashes red sor a second then shuts off. well i used my mouse on my brothers computer and his girlfriends laptop and it works fine and my psp is the same deal..it works on there stuff. Also i dont have an internet connection anymore all my settings were deleted, it doesnt even give me a notice when i unplug the cat-5 cable or plug it in. it's like it was never there.
the pc i have was a present from last christmas and is custom made im not sure what kind of motherboard it is but i know that the usb was1.1 instead of 2.0 and that my internet jack was onboard the mobo i have a 1.3 sempron cpu and 1024 ddr 333 mem with a 9600 video card rosewill i think..i just want to know if im screwed or not? am i just gonna have to cut my losses and get someone to put in a new mobo or can it be fixed?
sorry there aren't very precise details but if you ask me maybe i can give more info. thanks to anybody that can help. theese forums have helped me out alot in the past.
