There are few problems I have crossed when using the Canopus editing system using Adobe Premier 6.5 such as:


1. It always hang if or completed disappear if there are a lot of effects. Sometimes when we open a project file it can?t open at all! We are using Dual Processor Intel Xeon (1.7Ghz) and 1Gb RAMBUS memory with DV REX RT PCI Card and 10000 rpm Hard Dick Drive. I think it is more than powerful for a basic editing work but nevertheless it still has the Disappearing Act!

2. There is no insert mode in Adobe Premier even in the version of 6.5, to dump from timeline to Vtr decks. I know its depends on the version of the Vtr but it can only be done manually. On other editing system it can be done through timeline such as Avid System. By identifying the time code even the audio inserts can be done.

3. It has frequently occurred that the clips are missing from the timeline, if the avi. files had been deleted. When I do redigitize it again from Batch Digitize List (the missing/deleted clips), it fails to appear back on the timeline where else other Editing Solution System has none of this problem. Is there any solution to this?

4. Is there any vector scope and waveform for video on Adobe Premier 6.5? If it is available, how to retrieve it?
