Hello,

Has any one been ablt to creat sub titles with SubRip its 1.11 version.

When i generate the sub title in SubRip i am using the setting "Save Subpictures as SUP Files".

What are SUP files, and where do i use them.
It also generates the .srt file, i guess thats where the time code is stored for each SUP files. Which program accepts .srt file to to make subtitles to work with .m2v and .ac3 files. I am using DVD Maestro but, it doesn't support .srt files. It supports stl(Spruce Import Files) or scr and son( Bitmap import files). But i dont know how to generate the stl or scr,son files.

Any help on how to generate sub titles with be appreciated.

Thank you.

if you are using maestro then you need to save them as .bmps then when its ripped you save as a .son file.
put them all in the same folder along with the .srf file it produced (the sub colours).
then when you are ready in maestro to import the subs select the .son file.

make sure when you save the files in bmp to put them in a separate folder. There are quite a few bitmaps that it produces. When subrip gets done copying bmp's, before you close the window, you click file/save as and save the son file with the same name you gave the bmp's. I leave subrip open when I start importing assets into Maestro so I can adjust the time length of the sub's to sync with the words. I don't know if everyone else has this problem, but I'm always 7 or 8 seconds off the sync. Also make sure the subtitle color works too. I always have to change the color palette of the subs.
