I?ve been downloading movies and music off of p2p programs. But now I?ve stopped because its wrong and I?m worried that I will be sued or go to jail. Now my question is, I just got a new hard drive, and got rid of the old one? if they did happen to track me down and I don?t have the music on my computer, can they still sue me?

yes, they can. because they may have already gathered evidence on how many files u were upping/downing but id say the chances are very very minute

i have been downloading for liek 1 year now and i havnt ever gotten into trouble now my next door neighbor who was also UPLOADING to liek say p2p was busted and fined etc.... so im pretty sure you have a good chance of being fine as long as you dont upload thats based on personal opinion btw lol not any hard fact...

how can you say that. when people dont upload its called leeching. dont you think its rather selfish? u dont want to give but youll gladly take of other people. you dont thave to put all ur file s in ur shared folder. all of the peple busted for uploading had a lot of files in their folder. anyone who, unlike this guy still want to share but dont want to get caught, a little advice. just put, say 100 files in ur shared folder and every so often, change the contents to keep it fresh. thats what me and my mates do. 3 and a half years and not been busted.
