ASUS DRW-0402P/D only writes at 2 speed

Hi Guys

Had this writer for over a year now ASUS DRW-0402P it will only write at 2 speed it takes 24 mins to burn a dvd.
but its capable of 4 speed, when i try 4 speed i get Power Calibration errors, i have latest firmware 1.07 this has only started a few weeks ago where i happily burned at 4 speed with no problems.

One thing .....the drivers date in properties says 2001 have tried searching for an update to this but no luck.

Any Help Appreciated
