I got Chronicals of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay today. My system surpasses the minimum system requirements:

my system:

p4 3ghz prescott cpu
1.25gb memory
radeon 9600 pro 128mb
7200 rpm hd

the game runs slower than i expected, about 18-25 frames a second, (using fraps to determine fps), sometimes lower than that. Even turning down texture quality and antialising doesnt affect the framerates. Its still pretty choppy and gives me a headache fast.
What bothers me is that i have a memory manager for my system, the only progs i have running are zonealarm, anydvd, yahoo messanger, msn messanger, avg antivirus, and the memory manager. Currently it has about 750mb of free memory available before i start the game, so i dont know why i get such crappy framerates when i "thought" i had a good setup. (This is also the case with Doom 3.)
Do i need to check or clean something on my system to get better performance? I just did spybot and adaware, and defragged about 1 week ago. Thanks.

check game site for updates, patches & faq. also check for latest video driver. what directx are you using??

Download Rivatuner RC2.0 15.6 here http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=13 then Open riva tuner, open GL tweaks, compatibility tab and set the ''open GL string override'' to 1.3 or above , i know this works on nvidia cards so it should work on yours .....
