you sure this is not some kind of hoax?,i have never heard of scanosft, and nethier has google.
isp suppliers cannot give out info to other companies without some sort of court order,my guess its someone playing silly buggers
downloading torrents seems to be getting more and more risky these days

and you should always use blockers when downloading torrents anyways

try peerguardian 2

the funny thing here is maybe it is a hoax because of the following

1) Im not sure what the email of the isp said but they sent the email to me instead of the main account person of the isp

2) they stated they had warned me before which is a total lie that was my first email from them

3) if they had warned me before or even if they didnt my internet was never cut like the other people on the net who recieved isp warnings

4) i searched yahoo and scansoft is popular for a pdf program i dont use pdf or need to convert them (but i did download a harry potter book from bittorrent in pdf)

I do not remember downloading anything from scansoft def not a pdf converter and the filesize was small i mostly go big SO IM WONDERING... thanks for the reply and info hursty maybe its some pranker maybe not hope it just is.

Yeah thanks for hopeing for me ;-) Hope it is to... I checked that site after the email never heard of any of the softwares/programs they make and i know im the only one that uses and knows how to work bittorrent in this house. Maybe someone from a bittorrent site i made an account with was playing games with me... Anyway im going to slow down a bit on the downloading i think. Thanks Doofy and hursty for the advice and support i needed.

proably a hoax usually you get mailed by the isp and it goes to the acount holder... if your isp supplies emails and you have 1 of those and you got emailed on that then the chances may rise....but if you use somthing like msn, yahoo, gmail i dout your isp will track that email adress.

It more than likely will be a hoax but you may wanna hold off on the downloading for a bit :-((. For the downloaders out there i still think usenet with a decent anonymous provider is the way to go but thats just my humble opinion....

lmao no need in "TRYING" to slow down on the downloading i tryed to download beavis and butthead, And it seems something is wrong its downloading at 0 kb speed. The average speed used to be 30+ i think i messed with something. I'll leave it that way so i dont get tempted to download more :-D
