This is my first post... sorry if it was covered anywhere but there was so many threads to look through... i couldn't find anything on this...

I am trying to create a dvd-video of some home movies on a DVD-9 disc and for some reason the once the burn finishes to an output folder my files add up to less than 1GB even though it says the size of my project is 7.49GB. What is going wrong here??

There are 3 avi files captured from my digital camcorder. The files are huge like 8GB-16GB or so. When i import them it tells me about DVD-9, etc. and i click ok. I create my chapters and menus and then let it burn to a file on the HD.

The video_ts folder is only like 900+MB instead of 7.49GB. But... when i check the temp folder before it dumps... the temp folder is 7.49 GB... so is it creating the files and then compressing them or something.

I don't get it.
