Hi I've been useing bitcomet for the last few days but I have terrible download speeds, I've learned quite a bit about torrents from reading through the forums but I still can't solve the problem I'm having. My internet speed is 1024/128 kb/s. When I'm useing limewire I hit around the 120 kb/s on songs and programmes and a little lower on movies. The top speed I got on a movie on bitcomet was 30 kb/s and that wasn't for very long, only a couple mins and then it went right back down to around 5-6 kb/s. I did get around the 60 kb/s on an album and that was fine, today I'm only gettin up to 30 kb/s downloading an album when connected to 10 seeds. I've turned off my routers firewall totally, windows firewall is off, tried turning norton off but it doesn't make any difference to the speed, and I forwarded the ports on my router, anything else I can do ? Previous to this I tried emule, and it was near enough the same, really slow speeds. When I'm useing bitcomet, I could be downloading at 5 kb/s and uploading at 13 kb/s, is this right? I have my max dl speed at 100 kb/s and max upload speed at 100 kb/s, saying that I have messed around with them but still the same speeds. Any suggestions ?

try changing your listening ports. Or try dl speed at 100 kb/s and max upload speed at 20 kb/s

I'll try changin my ports geestar, I tried max dl 120 and upload 25 and I think its around the same if not a little slower. Lethal I was gonna try ed2k but when I read the comments about spyware and adware I didn't run it. What you reckon ?

Yeah I might give it a try 2morro, nothin to loose. Tried changin the ports but still the same. Songs are no probs, but movies are totally out with them type of speeds. Don't know what else to do so might aswell give ed2k a try. Thanks
