I just bought a 1 GB memory stick, however, it shows only 949 MB, please help?

Its not your memory stick, thats the way sony made it. I too have a 1 gig memory stick and it says 949mb, i guess sony didnt wanna add the extra 11mb.

from what I understand is that you'll never have a full gig on a 1 gig stick. Same goes for smaller sticks as well. I'm not sure if it should be 75 megs short though.

This is Normal!There aculay is 1 gig of Memory on the Memory stick its just the Index Files take up that space! They also need that space for The directory files that will built when you add data!
