hey guys!!

hi im thinking of buying a psp and i read recently that there are new versions of psp that can not download games or movies from (or surf the net...)the net to your psp...now can you please explain to me a few stuff....

1)is this rumor true?
2)if so what versions can download stuff?
3)are the "version" and the "firmware" in the psp different from one another?or are they a seperate thing or are they the same?
4)what psp version and firmware should i get?
5)where can i get the movies and "games" for my psp..and what do i need to download them....

You should get version 1.5 firmwire, it is the most common firmwire with hacks and stuff. The new 2.0 firmwire has an offical browser for the psp, which is nice, and faster compaired to the other hack. But i would still stick to version 1.5 until downgrading becomes possible. and be more specific if you need more ansrews.

1)HOW would i know if it has a 1.5 firmware
2)whats the difference between a 1000k model and another model...
3)WHICH is better a japanese model or american model (or even hong kong model)?

please answer (anyone of yous) my inquiry cause im really tryin to buy a psp that will be worth my money...thanks you all

just get a PSP from any target in the US and it will probably have version 1.5

but i live all the way here in australia (where believe it or not) the psp hasnt still seen the light of day..theyll be releasing it on september or october (i think),where i fear these batch of psp's will have the latest version which means also that i wont get to download some sweet stuffs..now thats not cool!!

Try ebay, use search "PSP 1.5" and you will get a list of 1.5 PSP's.

I got mine from Singapore and it turned up 2 days later by fedex. (I live in UK).

yeah ebay would work because people here in the US sell them from stores / used --- so if you want to get version 1.5 buy new from somewhere in the US
