i think the problem might be somewhere in here :

12:37:16 PM #26 TRANSFER -27 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1763

hello,
it's me again. although noone has yet responded, i have done some investigation in afterdawn and on the web. it seems as though there might be a problem with the media i am using, based on a few peoples reports about bad tdk discs (although VCD help says my burner (nec-2500A) works fine with the tdk). another possibility might have to do with me having old firmware per the neroinfo tool and the nec website. firmware updates scare me (as i always hear about people having more problems after the update as opposed to before). if anyone has any ideas on where i should go from here, it would be much appreciated. i tried to make sense of my error report, but it all looks like french to me, and i don't speak french. thanks again on the fromtside for any help that might be offered. -d

Recorder: <_NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A> Version: 1.06
- your firmware is old, however you'd have to give more info so as we would know exactly which firmware to recommend - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1740

Firmware, while scary, is essential for teaching your burner about media/newer media/burn speeds..

- try uninstalling Nero, uninstall completely via Nero Clean Tools - " http://www.nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html ", then install 6.6.0.16, but DO NOT install Nero's InCD. this is packet writing software, maybe don't install it if you don't use it as it doesn't always play well with standard Nero.

I've not come across that GIVEIO.sys driver before
