I'm no expert but it looks like you have Multisession option set. To burn playable DVDs you need to burn a DVD-Video, not a multisession data dvd. Until you get more into video encoding and whatnot you might try just putting your .AVI file through VSO DivXtoDVD and burning a DVD Video from the VIDEO_TS folder it produces. I know some people like to try to do everything with Nero but for myself I try to get things to a file set or image ready to burn and just burn with Nero Burning Rom.

At least then you know you don't have some problem burning discs. Then if you want to use the Nero video software at least you know the burning part works. :)

Thanx. I'll try that. Any tips on stopping buffer under runs?

- a-ha, another problem. you have 2 different types of paket writing software, Nero's InCD AND Roxio software. If you don't use either of these, uninstall Roxio, and for Nero, uninstall Nero, uninstall Nero completely via Nero Clean Tools - " Nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.Nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html ", then install Nero, BUT WITHOUT installing InCd

Try uninstalling, installing the original CD version of Nero 6, and NOT updating. This is the same problem I had with Nero 6.6.x and my HP dvd writer dvd200i drive.

@f00dl3 - that's not good advice i'm afraid.. i've also replied to your own post here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/223732

using an old version may have worked for you, but you've more than likely got around the actual issue instead of addressing the root cause. i and most other people will always recommend people update their software due to bugfixes/compatability etc
