I have tried to help as many friends here at AD as possible and now I need some advice. Tonight I downloaded the firmware upgrade for my external Sony DRX 800 UL Burner. Since that upgrade it seems that disks (like Sony DVD+R 1x-8x) can only be burned @6x or 8x) while my internal NEC will have the entire list of options from 1x - 8x. I'm concerned that the firmware upgrade might have changed the speed setting options! Is that possible? and if it is how can I go back to the original..I went from KY01 to KY04! Any help would be appreciated. Never noticed this before!
Thank you

thanks creaky I jump over to the site you mentioned! After I thought about it all TY's and Maxell media has more burn options. I'm not for sure if the burn settings actually change. I burn predominatly with the NEC and use my SOny for more reading, especially scratched disks (Sony reads disks that NEC can't. Thanks again!
