I'm thinking about purchasing this burner. Anybody got any praises or complaints about it to help me decide? Appreciate it.

I've got 2 benq 1620s and they are by far the most compatable burners out of 5 burners that I have.My next burner will be the 1625 or the benq 1640. No complaints from me!

Not too many members have the 1625. The lightscribe feature on this benq should make it a very nice burner. I've got the hp 460c lightscribe and I replaced it with my older benq 1620 because of compatability.1200+ burns and still going strong. 1 coaster this year!

It does have the booktyping ability to make the plus format media into dvd-rom. This is why the compatability is near perfect on stand alones/pc drives/and ps2.
