Cable going down using BT

I have a huge problem; My cable light on the modem goes out every 2 hrs of Bittorrent use. I've been using BT since it came out. After I reset the modem, everything is fine. My model is a Toshiba PCX1100U; ISP = Time Warner Earthlink; I have a Netgear Router; I really think its a modem problem. Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanx.

i think your cable is failing call your isp and ask for a new 1. :P
