hi, i was wondering, since i made my own computer about a week ago, i got a motherboard, but i feel that im missing out on something because i know i didnt really pay much for it, im running 2.4ghz oc to 2.88ghz with a radeon 9600pro, with 512 pc3200 ram, should i or should i not get a new motherboard, heres my current one, and if you think i should can you give me an example for one, im mostly using my computer for web, download, little gaming, command and conquer generals, and am thinking about trying battlefield 2, if by specs can handle it.

No that motherboard is fine! I myself am using a 56$ Winfast ks7 with ati X800XL,1GB RAM DDR400,SOundblaster Audigy2.
I can play that game just fine.
U should upgrade to 1gb ram atleast & I think your videocard is ok.
its not your motherboard that will slow down games but sometimes if u overclock cpu too much without proper cooling it will slow pc or even freeze at times

Be carful on adding fans, as too much air being sucked out can actually cause more heat. Try to keep the in and out fans almost even and check to see what your case and CPU temperature is. If it's not too hot then don't just add fans to add fans as this can actually start to cause adverse effects.

I have 7 case fans, a fan on my video card, and my CPU fan, and my system runs so freakin cool.

2 fans on front of case sucking air in
2 fans on side of case sucking air in
1 fan on top of case blowing air out
2 fans on back of case blowing air out

BTW, I also have just another fan sitting in my CD-rom drive bay (I only have one) pointing at the RAM blowing on it. Even during heavy gaming for long hours, the case temperature never gets above 80. My CPU/RAM is also, overclocked.

Custom Built PC
Case with 7 fans, 480w PSU, Asus K8VSE Deluxe Socket MB, Athlon 64 3400+ Overclocked to 2.53ghz, 1GB PC3200 Corsair DDR RAM @ 422mhz, 9800PRO Overclocked (400/356), Audigy 2 Sound Blaster, 2 80GB Hard Drives, Firewire, and many more irrelevant toys.
