Either the drive is not ready or the disk is not ready is the box that i get when I try to burn a converted file to a dvd disk,I have tried DVD-r And DVD+r with the same results Do you think that I might have the burner hooked up wrong - beats me!

You may use something like Nero Info Tools to see if your pc can recognize the discs you're using (with blank disc inserted).

you can try a different brand of dvd-r/dvd-x disc
could be the brand had the same trouble about a week back had to change the brand that i was using
