Hello,
I am trying to Fix a cmc Mag backup of Appleseed and at the same time take out the 321 Studios Warning and the FBI Warning. I am using IFO Edit to do this.
So far I have gotten Rid of the 3321 studios thing with no problems, but the FBI Warning is giving me a problem. It seems that when I delete playback of it, the DVD will not play. I tried a different approach and was semi-successful.
I went into DVD Shrink and replaced the FBI with the "Video has been removed" screen. I set the output to DVD FOlder and went back into IFO Edit. I then edited the IFOs and changed the playback time of the FBI warning from 39 seconds to 6 seconds. I then deleted the other warning screens and the Gideon Intro which is part of the FBI warning.
The problem is when I hit DVD Play, I get an Warning: No Valid DVD-Video volume could be located. I continued the play and it seemed like I was successful. It went straight to the DVD Shrink screen for 6 seconds then to the title menu. I thought, why not give it a try and burn it on a DVD+RW? I did, and it works on one of my DVD players, but fails on two. Also another odd thing is that it is not readable by my DVD-ROM drive.
On one (some old RCA with DivX) it recognizes the disc and plays the DVD Shrink screen, but then shuts off. On the other (Samsung DVD-611), it does not load or even give me a Disc Read Error. Does any one have any idea on what I did wrong? Also, if anyone has successfully removed the FBI Warning, any guidance would be appreciated.
I would like to at least get it to play on the RCA, I do not expect it to play on the Samsung, because the cmc mag only played on the PC. THe DVD+RW disc I am using is a Ricoh (media code RICOHJPN-W11-01). I will be burning the final copy to an 8x Fujifilm DVD+R (media code YUDEN000-T02-00). Also my burner is a Pioneer DVR-A09 (DVR-109).
