I just bought a used copy of wipeout pure and when I put it in the PSP it does nothing, is there a reason for this? I have a v 1.5

sounds like a damaged or dirty umd, can you see any scratches or dirt in the disc? i have a 1.5 firmware and it worked on mine

Do any other games work on you PSP! My PSP that I have had for 4 month now won't play any UMDS at all any more!
