can anyone offer advice?

I have a US PSP with 1.5

I have the game untold legends which stopped working.

had a new replacement and still would not read it.

tried the new game in another PSP, it worked fine.

other games work fine in my psp.

has anyone come across this before?

I think i may need to send the PSP back which I don't want to do cos ill lose 1.5

the error message is simply 'could not read disk'

any help would be appreciated.

Wow. This is the first I've heard of this. I'm wonder if we'll see more of these come up like DRE's and the Ps2. Just wondering though, was the psp dropped or anything like that?

That is the annoying thing - I have not dropped it, and it was a brand new disk...

a friend of mine said that his minidisk player had 'quirks' like this, that it just would not play some disks but others were fine.

I am wondering if upgrading the firmware will have any effect but then I have 1.5

tenpenny i had the same problem with Twisted Metal psp and game both fresh outta package well i didnt care much for the game anyway so i took it out of the protector gave it a very careful cleaning and than stuck it carefully back in the protector and it worked like a charm from than on out im not saying you should do this but thats wat worked for me

I want to try that but how do I get the disk out the the case without breaking it open??
