Problems with NVE 3 when adding chapters

I am in the process of creating DVD's of several TV shows that i have over the years saved on VHS...I have been able to rip and then edit out commercials using Recode and save the shows (usually about 45 mins each in length) to my HD and then use NVE to create a main menu with links to each episode on the DVD (i am only putting 4 epi's on each DVD) but the problem begins when i have tried to add chapters, NVE does not seem to like it very much and it errors out during the transcoding sequence...this is very frustrating and i am unsure what i can do next to fix this...i have a copy of the log but i cannot post it right at the moment since i am at work not home...but does anyone have an idea or a fix for this problem....
