Using SNES9X emulator for my PSP. I've trasferred a couple of games over (mario world & mario kart) but they run REALLY SLOW...!!! About 1/4 of the speed at which they should run! Has anyone experienced this problem and/or know what to do about correcting it?

(PSP(1.5) with 32Mb Sony Memory Stick Duo)

i wish i could relate, but i got unluck and bought a 1.51 version psp. i have seen in other threads that there's a way to overclock your psp and it will make them run smoother.

thanks for the reply...

I've been looking on the web & also reading the istructions for the UO SNES9X about selecting the clock speed, frame rates, etc from the settings menu... thing is I can't seem to get to it!

When I boot up the PSP i go to the memory card & it shows the various ROM loaders, when i click onto the UO SNES9X one it shows the games in the file but I can't seem to get any menu display no matter what button i press! All I seem able to do is either drop back through the various directories or actually load one of the ROM games...???

Anyone know why I can't get the settings menu to the ROM loader???

Thanks for any help!!!

Yes, it's going to be always like this. Of course emulators will improve, but not much at a time. You should try snes9x_TYL v0.2c. I think it's the fastest snes emulator out there, it uses psp's gpu for rendering. With 333mhz I didn't need to use frameskip with mario world and donkey kong country worked great with framskip set to 1. This snes9x_TYL is quite promising, they said that ffvi will be playable soon.
