I thought you guys might be interested in this one...

Project Neon is a free beta application that allows you to connect directly with your friends and family to share and view video and pictures privately online
-- with no uploads.

We are throwing this one out in beta to get some feedback. Let us know what you think. Does it work? Is it cool? what does it need? Could your non-techie friends understand it enough to share photo's and video?

you don't have to upload anything

you just have to set the permission on your albums that you create

i tried it. the video pictur quality isnt great and it does freeze (did on mine) but all in all its a fantastic idea. and im sure with time and development, you could make something of it.

yeah since it transcodes to DivX if the source is a low quality windows media file it doesn't look that great

hopefully people will start sharing some higher quality sources
