This is the wrong way round, isn't it?

Here's exactly what i did:

- Ripped DVD using DVDdecrypter

- Split files across 2 disks (simply by making 2 complete copies and deleting some VOBs from one set of files and the other VOBs from the other set of files)

- Burnt Disc 1 onto a DVD+RW to test, using Nero's DVD Video profile

- DVD plays fine in standalone but not WinDVD

Is it coz WinDVD is smart enough to check whether all the VOBs are present before it will play? If so, is there any way to disable it?

I'm not too bothered because my standalone is where i actually watch stuff, at the end of the day, and thankfully, it's too dumb to realise it doesn't have all the right VOBs so it just plays what there is.

Unless it's a compatability thing? Could it be that my PCs DVD-ROM can't read DVD+RWs? It's a Compaq DVD GD-8000.

I should mention that this is my work PC, not my home one. Haven't got WinDVD set up at home since i always watch my DVDs on the TV.
