What is the actual size of the memory card when you place it in your PSP. Mine keeps telling me that it's only 949mb of free space. what the heck happen to the other 51mbs? I understand 5-10mbs. but 51mbs? there has got to be something wrong with my PSP. Please some one help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMFG!!! This has been posted befor!!! Read the fourm rules befor starting a new thread, and yes 51MB but realy 75MBs is about the avarge missing MB's on a 1 gig!!! My 512MB card had only 472MB and my 1 GiG Card had 964MB

Just to let you know 1 GiG=124MBs

Do the Math!!! your card is Misssing 75MBs

Oh by the way next time you buy memstick Format it! This will alow you to get a few extra MBs! Do not do this if you have Data on the Mem Stick because you will lose all of that Data!

Memory beit on a Stick or a HDD like the XBOX? or an iPod? or Burnable Media are allways sold in MB's / GB's that's 1,000,000,000 Bytes. So because Computer Programers use 1024 as 1Mb when in fact a MB is not 1024 but only 1000 exact!

A Gib (what you'd incorrectly call a GB) is ^3 1024 or 1,073,741,842 Gee what do you know that's rughly 74Mb's less, so Domries is correct!
