I recently put together a computer with a Chaintech 7NJL6 motherboard & an AMD Athlon 3000+ processor. When I turn on the computer, no video appears on the screen. All of the fans turn on, even the one on the video card. I have tested the video card & RAM in another computer. Both of them worked. I also made sure the motherboard was grounded properly & the heatsink was on securely. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions as to what is causing the problem & how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, my RAM is on the list & The IDE cables are on properly. The computer isn't going through POST. It doesn't beep when you turn it on. I have another computer that I built a few months ago with the same motherboard but different processor (AMD 2900+). If I open the case & add or remove any PCI or AGP cards, or pretty much touch anything inside it, it does the exact same thing as the new computer. But, if i restart it a few times is will work again. I restarted the new computer many times & it was the same everytime.

Sounds very much like a duff PSU. Regardless of the outcome, getting a quality PSU now, will improve this and any future PC you build, maybe get an Antec you wont go far wrong.

I had already tried another power supply a few days ago. It didn't fix the problem. I tried to buy a good power supply so it wouldn't die in a month. I read some reviews & decided to go with an Ultra X-Connect 500 watt. Is that a good PSU?
