Will this work?

I re-encoded Contact with the subtitles intact...it came out to 4.38 GB !!!! Argggg!!

Lol...

I still have the subs in there, and if possible, I'd like to strip them to gt it under 4.37..

Possible?

you sound like you need the assistance of a good guide.
try the following

it may have more progs and take longer than you're used to........but if you want to get it right EVERY time, then give the guide a whirl. Hope it solves your problem. If not, post back here and we 'll take it from there
