When I boot up I get a pop up window that states the following: "Access violation at address 00462b57 in module 'dvd43_tray.exe'. Read of address 00000004". Prior to tonite I've never had a problem with dvd43. I have uninstalled dvd43 several times and downloaded it from several sites, but everytime I've received this Access violation... message. Any suggestions?

Out of curiosity where did you downloaded your DVD43 set up from? I got mine from this site (afterdawn.com) on the server 2, and mine has been working flawlessly regardless of past or present versions.

Try to uninstall DVD43 via Add & Remove, try to search files for every files that connects to DVD43, then delete it. Go to "regedit" and search for any DVD43 files, if there is any, then delete it. Reboot your computer now. After rebooting your computer, download DVD43 again from this site using (server #2), then re-install the set up again and see what's the new result.

NOTE: once you completed the set up installation, you should restart your computer again. At your desktop prompt, DVD43 will load and detects any of your dvd burner's drive automatically. If you have a "yellow" face, then just click on the yellow face and exit out. Now you're set to go. If you have a "gray" face, then you need to "uninstall" it and "reinstall" it all over again.

I am getting this exact same error ("Access violation at address 00462b57 in module 'dvd43_tray.exe'. Read of address 00000004"). I downloaded from Server 2 have tried it on two computers with the same result.

For me, it works fine for every disc I've tried, except for "In Good Company".

The sucky part is after I get that error, it locks everything up and I have to reboot to get it to let go (on both computers).

I'd say there is a problem with DVD43 v. 3.6.2.111.

DVD43 froze on me after I burned my 5th dvd movie. It froze on an old dvd (The Mission 1986). The devil face popped up and wouldn't change even after I ejected, put in a new movie, re-booted, etc...
After uninstalling/reinstalling it SEVERAL times, I kept getting a message stating it "could not connect" - due to some problem with drivers or something or the other.
A lot of people are having problems with DVD43. For the last couple of weeks, I've been using AnyDVD (which, unfortunately, expires in the next ten days) - flawlessly. I'm considering spending the 20$ to buy it.
However, before I do so and as soon as AnyDVD expires, I will use some of the other programs such as dvd fab, DVD Shrink etc. to see if they can decrypt succesfuly.
I would advise you to do the same.

Yes, I have the latest version 3.6.2.111 and I don't have any issues with past or present versions whatsoever.

What's your OS? Is it Win2K or Win XP?

DVD43 only works on Win2K and WinXP. If you have Win98 or WinME, use DVD Decrypter (use 'Mode' 'File') which allows you to rip all the files of a DVD to your hard drive and then copy with your favorite copy software.
