Is it possible to "Unflash" my Dvd Drive?

I have the I/O Magic Dual Layer External 16x DVD burner for a few months now. It has been working fine until this weekend. Comp USA has the Memorex DVD+R DL on sales so I bought the 25 packs. After the first failed burn, I went here and found out that Memorex sucks so I returned them. I also read in here that I should go to dvdupdate.com and flash my burner. Bad news. Now, I can't even burn the single layer DVD. How can I revert back to the old way?
