We're working on this issue in another thread, but my request is kinda buried, hope nobody minds me starting a new thread in this request.

Problem: Roxio Easy Media Creator installed, also Nero (current). Trying to get Nero working properly, Roxio was uninstalled but leaves drivers behind, used RoxiZap to rid these pesky drivers.

Now, my upper and lower filters are missing, along with cdralw2k and cdr4_xp which resulted in the burn button in NeroExpress greyed out.

Where do I get these? Are these spicific OS files? I tried uninstalling and re-installing Nero in a last ditch effort but drivers are still missing. From the log:
========

Driver : Cdr4_xp
Description : n/a
Version : n/a
Company : n/a

Driver : Cdralw2k
Description : n/a
Version : n/a
Company : n/a
-------

Thank you folks, good group of helpfull people here - appreciate it.

as stated in the other thread(s), those are roxio files/drivers

(threads aren't forgotten, and you can always reply to your own threads with 'bump', then anyone subscribed to the threads will get emailed again..)

there's a similar thread recently, where removing Roxio can sometimes cause problems similar to this, but for the life of me i can't think of a keyword to help search for the thread. try looking for 'roxio zap' for now. i've got some chores to do but will check in later..

There was a thread about the problems of removing Roxio but it had to do with WindowsXP, and this is the info from Microsoft. Do not know if it has anything to do with the problem but you can have a look see

Cheers arniebear, the kids wanted to get into fishing, luckily our chandlery next door has got a fishing shop so we're set to go know, when I can figure out how it all works as I haven't fished since I was about 3!.

Hopefully champcar will be burning like a mad burner soon. I've got loads to burn but its too hot here at the mo.
