Dead to Rights reckoning: No way to get to the super cop mode?

I ve completed the initial normal mode.
it's said that i should go back to the main menu
and simply choose "start new compaign" and that should lead me
to supercop mode. But when I do that,
i get to the menu:
()Mansion
()Supercop
()Start Game
I cannot choose "Mansion" or "Supercop" since the select option
is disabled for them. I can only choose "Start game"..but that brings me
back to the last chapter of the Normal mode which is "the mansion"...
how do i get to the super cop step?

And even weirder: I took the saved game of a friend (saved game: Mansion, Super cop),
did select and loaded that profile -> I did choose "resume saved campaign"..
and I am back to the mansion step!!!
If I choose "Start Challenge" (still from that same saved game profile), I get to the menu
"Select Level" with two choices:
-Supercop (The select option is disabled for it)
-Start Game (Selection is enabled)
..so I choose "Start game" and I am back at the beginning of the initial normal mode!
Still no way to get to the supercop mode.
