Just use CCE for the first time I want to see the bitrate difference between the original and the back-up any ideas?

Run the original through AViCodec, then the backup.

On PowerDVD, all I do is right-click on 'Show Information' and it displays the video bitrate as well as audio bitrate as I am watching the movie.

Avicodec has been know to give incorrect info such as always showing the bitrate at 9800. It just downloaded it and it did just that any other programs that work?

ah, indeed, dvd movies are at 9800, another choice would be GSpot.

If you want to see the bitrate of the Movie you just encoded you can use the bitrate Viewer built into CCE SP...The bitrate Information is Stored in the VAF File....

9800kbs is just the max allowable Combined bitrate that the DVD Standard Supports....
