I have been going thru my collection of X-files DVD's backing them up. My problem is on the bonus disc. They have a PC game on them. When I backed up the disk, the movie part copied fine, but the PC game part is no where to be found. So my question is, Is there somehow to backup the game part as well? Thanks in advance to any help.

What program are you using to backup. Can you choose the title sets to backup?

Also, the game tracks might be laid down in cd format (?wild guess?) so try copying only the game folder via CD copy while running AnyDVD or a similar decryptor?

Hello and thx for the reply. I use dvd decrypter to rip. I did use 1clickdvd copy, but the vso program started to give me problems ??? Currently I have started using Apollo dvd copy which works pretty good. I'm kind of limited on my choices consitering the x-files are episodic and only a few copy them with no hard labor involved. I'm not sure about selecting title sets Apollo dvd is pretty basic, it only offers Movie Only, DVD9, and Full Disk. The only thing you can remove is foreign languages and or subtitles. I did notice on the original disc it has like 7 or 8 folders. When I copied it or should I say ripped it, it only ripped the video and audio folders. Thx

Yeah, the DVD rippers will only be able to rip files having to do with the actual DVD movie, not the DVD-ROM features.

I think you may be able to pull it off by setting your DVD Shrink output to DVD Folder. Set the output to something like "c:/X-Files DVD/" for convenience.

Next drag and drop the extra stuff (DVD-ROM extras) into the same folder, but outside of the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS.

Try buring with Nero and add the extra stuff into the compilation so that it looks like the orignal DVD.

However in Shrink you will have to calculate how much extra to compress the actual movie. If the extras are 500MB, then compress the movie an extra 500MB.

I have never tried this, but it seems like it should work. Just burn on a DVD+RW first if available so you do not waste any discs.

If it doesn't work, you can always copy the DVD-ROM extras to a CD. Those are just Data files.
