i have just has my first go at newsgroups (someone gave me what was left of there server subscription),and these suckers are fast,its maxing at 120,topping at 170 on a 1 mb connection
it runs out in a day or so
then i have to pay.....so
anyone got any suggestions on which is the cheapest and best place to get the server from???...whether it be monthly/yearly
the cheapest i found is $8.95 a month,but i work in english pounds
i have grabit,and a couple of news groups sites,but thats as far as my knowledge goes
All i can say is, in the begining pay weekly if its possible cause some really suck.
I had a free trial of one i got like 5 gigs free or something like that, and it was crap, absolute crap, it was slow, and everything that was available was crap, it just really bit the big one.
All im saying is test it out before you commit youself to it.
Giganews, who are widly known as one of the best charge $24.95 for unlimited and there a few CHEAP ones that charge $14.95.
$8.95 is really cheap!!!
I tend to agree with Logik666, it's best to try first, a lot of usenet providers give trial periods..BUT $8.95 is like £5!! Might be worth a shot at that money!
