I use nerovision express to reencode TiVo files. Is there any way to prevent the program from breaking hour-long programs into two? I looked under settings but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.
None actually. I'm trying to make files that will be compatible to send back to the TiVo (without commercials). So they basically have to be standard mpeg2 videos.
Thanks but I'm pretty sure that program isn't able to open up the encrypted .tivo files I'm getting off of my TiVo. I know this sounds foolish, but what I am doing is taking encrypted files off of my TiVo, using Nero to convert them to standard, unencrypted mpeg2 files, then cutting out the commercials with videoredo, then storing the files on my computer so that they can be played off of the TiVo again, commercial free. I'm able to do this fine right now, but whenever an original TiVo recording is at least an hour long Nero breaks the output file into two, resulting in a small skip when I rejoin them in videoredo.
There is probably a setting on that Nero is trying to encode the files so they will fit onto a VCD. A VCD can normally hold 80 mins. Many encoders have this option its just a matter of turning it off.
That's what I was thinking. But I'm having a hard time finding that setting to adjust. I haven't had Nero for very long, so anyone who's used it for a while should be able to tell me where this setting is.
Thanks.
