OK, I have been using NeroVision to create DVDs for nearly a year with no issues. I have used all kinds of media (including the Maxell used here, and Memorex, HP, etc) without any problems. Suddenly, I cannot get anything to burn correctly on my HP 530r drive!! I have the latest firmware, so I know that isn't the problem.

I get all the way to the burning process without issue, then after a acouple of minutes, my disc spits out and I get the failure message.

I can however, complete the buring process on my Samsumg TS-H542A, but ofr some reason, it won't go any faster than for 4X.

Here is the **EDITED** error log for the HP 530r. Thanks in advance for any help!!

'fraid that logfile is appalling, it's far too large to work with, but more importantly there's only 1 line of value in there -
Quote:

Other than that, you need to edit the post, trim it right down, we need the last section only, ie that starts similar to this -

My pc is not coping with this logfile of yours, it's maxxing out trying to load all that lot into memory, so if you need help, you must remove the contents of that post and replace it with the bit i requested..

I have also checked he version of the EM2V.DLL. When doing a search on my PC i get three hits for this file:

em2v.dll c:\program files\Ahead\Nero
emdv.DLL c:\program files\Ahead\Nerovision
emdv.dll c:\program files\Common Files\DSFilter

All the three have the same file version (3,2,0,20c) and product version is (2,0,07). I dont know if the file level information is relevant but i will mention it in case someone else is experencing the same problem wit this particular module.

What I am doing is: merging 3-5 mpeg clips and adding a transition in between. If I remove the transitions I still have the same problem. My Nero version is on 6.6.0.16. I was experiencing the same in .15 aswell.

My PC specs are as follows.

P4 3.0GHz
1GB RAM
120 GB HDD
Nvidia Geoforce 4 MX 440 128MB
Running Windows Prof. XP / sp2
I am using a PHILIPS DVDRW228 for which i have upgraded the firmware to 1.72 (latest)

I have only got Nero video editing software installed no onther software dealing with video editing is installed.

I have googled on this particular problem and have come across many occurances of this and also seen expressions that Nero is not resolving this / do not know what is causing this. I have seen postings of this problem almost a year old and without any satisfactory result. I don't know what Nero are doing to address this.

If there is anyone out there, please advise. Please let me know if you need any other log files.

Thanks.

@peev34 - no worries, it's not your fault, that logfile for some reason was longer than any Nerovision log i've seen before, and they're all real long.

All i can see is
Quote:
[03:37:28] NeroVision Illegal disc
- all i can think is your drive doesn't like those discs
Quote:
[03:37:28] NeroVision Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s)
- try 4x, most people recommend 4x anyway..
